Boxset containing four films and a documentary on Charlie Chaplin. Modern Times - Chaplin\'s last silent film is a witty satire on the \'little\' worker being gobbled up in the coming of the Machine Age. Includes his own music soundtrack featuring the popular song \'Smile\'. The Great Dictator - The Little Tramp exits and is replaced by a dual-role Chaplin taking a vicious, satirical sideswipe at the rise of Fascism. A meek Jewish barber is the spitting image of Adenoid Hynkel, the dictator of Tomania, with side-splitting results. Jack Oakie won an Oscar nomination for his show-stealing role as neighbouring dictator Napaloni of Bacteria. The Gold Rush - One of Charlie\'s favourites in which he seeks his fortune in the Klondike, featuring the charming \'dance of the bread rolls\'. Limelight - An ageing music hall entertainer takes a beautiful young ballerina under his wing in this sentimental tale which was Chaplin\'s last American film before his politics made him an exile. Notable for an hilarious skit sequence between Charlie and Buster Keaton, and its beautiful music score which won an Oscar - 20 years later!
