Film description:
Detective Inspector Henry Crabbe dreams about giving up his job with the police force and devoting his retirement to running his own restaurant with help from his accountant wife, Margaret. His plans are thwarted, however, by his superior officer, Assistant Chief Constable Fisher, who suspends Henry from duty on the eve of his retirement. Until Henry can solve this dilemma, he must continue to be on call whenever the force need him.
